Luis Lebron Casas

Luis Lebron Casas is an experienced researcher in the field of computer vision, currently serving as an Associate Researcher at Vicomtech since September 2023. Previous experience includes a PhD internship at the National Institute of Informatics from November 2022 to May 2023, where work focused on video caption evaluation in Satoh's lab. Luis has also held roles as a Research Scientist and Computer Vision Intern at United Technologies Research Center between May 2017 and February 2019, involving LSTM and RNN for video summarization projects. Additional experience includes a position as an R+D Engineer at Engel/Axil S.L from July 2015 to February 2017, and working in software engineering at the Computer Vision Center in early 2016. Luis holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Vision from Dublin City University (March 2019 - August 2023) and multiple degrees from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, including a Master's in Computer Vision and a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering and Mathematics.
