Miguel Angel Veganzones serves as the Artificial Intelligence Research Director at i2CAT Research Centre since September 2025. Prior experience includes the role of VP of Data at Lookiero from May 2021 to September 2025 and Director of Artificial Intelligence at Sherpa.ai from May 2018 to May 2021. Miguel also contributed as a Lecturer for the Deusto Big Data and Business Intelligence Postgrade Program from September 2016 to October 2021 and as a Data Science Manager at NEM Solutions from June 2016 to May 2018. Earlier research positions include various postdoctoral roles at GIPSA-lab, CNRS, and related institutions, focusing on hyperspectral data analysis, hydrological modeling, and statistical methods. Miguel holds an International Ph.D. in Computer Science from EHU and an Engineering degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
