Donald F. Achberger has a long and varied career in automation development. Donald F. began their career in 1987 as the California Site Manager/Electrical Coordinator at Daifuku USA, where they managed sales, mechanical and electrical installations, Programmable Logic controllers (PLC) modifications/interfaces, provided customer quotations and warranty services, and start up support. In 1994, they joined New United Motor Manufacturing Inc. as a Staff IT Engineer and Staff Engineer, where they were responsible for developing, implementing, enhancing and maintaining mission critical Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Supervisory Controls and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems; Enterprise system development using technologies including .NET, C#, SQL, Web, mobile computing technologies, and Rockwell Automation PLC and Wonderware SCADA Software. In 2002, they joined Failproof Manufacturing Systems as a Staff IT Engineer, where they were responsible for long-term business planning, product development, client requirements, and obtaining and managing development staff. In 2010, they joined First Solar as a Staff Controls Engineer, where they provided control engineering and plant support to ensure maximum system availability, developed, analyzed and maintained manufacturing enterprise systems (MES) including data collection, PLC programming and communications, plant network development, human machine interfaces (HMI), robotics, material handling, and manufacturing process equipment controls systems, and developed, modified, tested, and deployed systems and equipment changes for continuous improvements. Finally, in 2012, they joined i2ds as the Director of Automation Development.

Donald F. Achberger attended Northland High School from 1972 to 1975, where they received a Diploma. From 1975 to 1980, they attended The Ohio State University for Architecture. In 1976, they received a Certified degree from the Federal Aviation Administration for Air Traffic Controller.
