While working in industry, Richard Riggio was integral in the development of the GEATRAC/GEALOC platforms which were used in people mover and mass transit systems all over the world. He lead a team responsible for developing a 40KW, 3PH, inverter and a 10KW Power Supply. Rich developed medical grade switching power supplies and microprocessor based control boards for several CPAP and Ventilator products. He started SiGenix, Inc, an electronic engineering consulting firm, in 2000. The firm was recognized with the Pittsburgh Technology Council Rising Star Award in 2007. As CEO, Rich grew revenues from $200,000 to $2.1 million, clients from 3 to 20 and staff from one to eight by 2009. After selling SiGenix in 2009, Rich partnered with B&C Transit to start Trilogy Products, Inc which designs and manufacturers power supplies, battery chargers, data loggers and custom train to wayside components. As Director of Product Development, he was responsible for the development, certification, documentation, supply chain management and production of all products. He continues to serve in an advisory role with the company.
