Melanie Rice

Melanie Rice, ABC, is the Principal and Owner of Crux Strategic Communications, an independent consulting firm since January 2014, specializing in strategic communications for corporate, privately-held, and nonprofit clients. With a diverse background, Melanie has held leadership roles in several organizations, including Co-Chair of the Employee Communications Section at PRSA Colorado and President of IABC Colorado. Previous experience includes directorial positions in corporate communications at Newmont Mining Corporation and Molson Coors, where Melanie developed and implemented internal communication strategies post-merger. Early career experience includes roles at Hewlett Packard, Compaq Computer Corporation, and Tandem Computers, focusing on marketing, communications, and change management. Melanie holds a BS in Quantitative Analysis from the University of Oregon and an MBA in Marketing from Golden Gate University.
