Lara Hanlon

Lara Hanlon is an experienced design professional and educator with a focus on sustainable food systems and user experience design. As the Founder and Director of Portion Collaborative since April 2022, Lara works to transform food experiences and practices. Concurrently, Lara holds multiple teaching positions at the Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology and contributes to Design Declares Ireland and the Future Food Movement. Previous roles include Project Director for 100 Archive, Senior Designer at IBM Research, and founder of éntomo food, a speculative food brand promoting insects as a sustainable food source. Lara's education includes certifications in Food and Sustainability and Sustainable Business Strategy, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications Design.
