Carola Hoyos

Carola Hoyos serves as a Speechwriter and Adviser to the Director General at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) since November 2020, focusing on nuclear non-proliferation and the safe application of nuclear technology for global challenges. In addition, Carola chairs the Board of Trustees for Maths Teams, a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the skills gap and enhancing diversity in the UK tech sector. Previous experience includes a role as Communications Consultant at McKinsey & Company, where support was provided to executives in developing their business narratives. A long tenure at the Financial Times involved various editorial roles, including Editor of Executive Appointments and Chief Energy Correspondent, where Carola reported on significant geopolitical and corporate issues. Educational background includes attending the American International School Vienna and obtaining a degree from Tufts University.
