Carolynn Scherer

Carolynn Scherer currently serves as the Section Head and Project Leader for the International Project on Innovative Nuclear Reactors and Fuel Cycles (INPRO) at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) since October 2021. Prior to this role, Carolynn worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for over 33 years, holding positions including International Nuclear Security Project Leader, Team Leader, and Scientist, as well as Nuclear Nonproliferation and Systems Analysis Team Leader. Carolynn began their career as a Senior Research Associate at Carborundum Company. Education includes a Master of Science in Ceramic Science from Penn State University, a Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering and Mathematics from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, and an Associate of Arts in Business Administration and Mathematics from Notre Dame College of Ohio.
