Raphael Gorrand

Raphael Gorrand is currently the Deputy Head of the Insurance Risk Analysis Division at the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR), a position held since December 2013, where responsibilities include conducting macroprudential analyses for the insurance sector and overseeing insurance stress tests. Gorrand also serves as Vice Chair of the IAIS-BIS Macroprudential Monitoring Working Group and teaches actuarial courses at the Institut du Risk Management. Previous roles include Deputy Head of the Internal Models Division and Insurance Supervisor at ACPR, with expertise in Solvency II topics. Gorrand's academic background includes degrees in Computational and Applied Mathematics and Physics from prestigious institutions, complemented by research experience in machine learning and embryonic dynamics.
