Tom Wicling is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the insurance sector, currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) since February 2020, focusing on the implementation of the Holistic Framework. Additionally, Tom holds the position of Vice Chair of the IAIS Infrastructure Task Force, which examines the treatment of infrastructure assets within international insurance capital standards. Previously, Tom worked at the Bank of England from June 2014 to May 2021, where responsibilities included shaping international insurance policy and supervising the implementation of Solvency II. Earlier roles include positions as a Consolidation Actuary at LV= and as a Consultant at Towers Watson and Milliman. Tom began their career as an Actuarial Assistant at Canada Life. Tom Wicling earned a Master of Arts in Mathematical Science from the University of Oxford in 1999.
