Helen Thornton Smith, CPA, is currently the Manager of Reinsurance/Risk Management at IAT Group. Prior to this role, Helen served as the Vice President of Finance and Controller at Easter Seals UCP North Carolina & Virginia. With a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Helen has extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, and audit preparations from their previous roles at organizations such as the North Carolina Department of Insurance, Medical Mutual Insurance Company, Century American Insurance Company, and Ernst & Young.
