Lon Johnson

Lon Johnson has a comprehensive work experience history in various legal roles. Lon is currently working as a Claims Counsel at IAT Insurance Group, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Claims Coverage Counsel at Kemper from August 2020 to November 2021. Lon also has significant experience at Christian Dichter & Sluga, P.C., where they worked as both an Associate from October 2012 to August 2019 and later promoted to Partner from August 2019 to August 2020. Lon began their legal career as a Legal Intern for the Honorable Susan Bolton at the United States District Court for the District of Arizona from August to December 2010. Additionally, Lon gained legal experience as a Legal Intern in the Staff Attorneys' Office at the Arizona Supreme Court from June to November 2010. Before pursuing a legal career, Lon served as an Executive Coordinator at ReachOut56-81, where they managed the day-to-day operations of the community service arm of Princeton University's alumni classes of 1956 and 1981. In this role, they coordinated various college and career guidance programs in inner-city high schools in New Jersey and New York.

Lon Johnson graduated from Princeton University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Anthropology and a Certificate in African Studies. Lon then attended Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. During their time at law school, Lon also pursued a Certificate in Law, Science, and Innovation.
