Sloan Rolando has a diverse work experience spanning from 1997 to the present. They started their career at PCE Systems as a Programmer Analyst, Project Manager, and Consultant from March 1997 to February 2005. They then joined Computer Sciences Corporation in September 2004 as a Software Engineer Professional, where they worked until December 2012. In January 2004, Sloan became an Adjunct Instructor at Joliet Junior College. Since 2013, they have been working at IAT Insurance Group as a Principal Software Developer, continuing their work from CSC.

Sloan Rolando began their education in 1988 at Lawrence Technological University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. They completed their undergraduate studies in 1992. In 1995, Sloan attended Loyola University Chicago, focusing on Philosophy and Religious Studies for a year until 1996. Seeking further academic enrichment, they joined St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree with a specialization in Music and Theology.
