Rachel McLendon

International Representative, Broadcast Dept. at IATSE

Rachel McLendon is an accomplished professional in the broadcasting industry, currently serving as an International Representative in the Broadcast Department for IATSE since June 2018. In this role, Rachel represents broadcast technicians, acts as a union organizer, contract negotiator, and advocate for workers. Prior experience includes positions at Golf Channel, Sportvision, and NEP Broadcasting, where Rachel worked as a utility worker. Additionally, Rachel contributed to research studies at Columbia University, focusing on the impact of the 2010 BP oil spill on children and the long-term well-being of children post-Katrina. Earlier in Rachel's career, roles included runner positions at NFL Network and CBS Collegiate Sports Properties, along with catering duties for NBC Olympics. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the University of South Alabama, achieved in 2008.
