Dr. Alexander Joos

Dr. Alexander Joos is a seasoned expert in aerospace engineering, holding the position of Senior Vice President - Digital Solutions Powertrain at IAV since August 2018, where responsibilities include overseeing drivetrain development for hybrid and electric drive systems. Previously, Dr. Joos was a Team Manager and Technical Project Manager in research and development at Cyber Valley from April 2022 to June 2024, and served as a Deputy Head of Institute and Akademischer Rat at Uni Stuttgart iFR from December 2007 to July 2018, focusing on autonomous and automatic flight. Early career experiences include roles at Airbus Helicopters, Pilatus Aircraft, Daimler AG, and service at Lebenshilfe Zollernalb. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering and a Diploma in Aerospace Engineering, both from the University of Stuttgart.
