Rene Zschoppe

Rene Zschoppe has been with IAV GmbH since January 1999, where responsibilities include serving as Abteilungsleiter for ADAS/AD systems, overseeing vehicle function development, system architecture, integration, testing, and homologation, along with concepts for functional safety and SOTIF. Previously, Rene held the role of Teamleiter, managing projects focused on adaptive cruise control development and automated driving, and began as Entwicklungsingenieur working on similar technologies. Prior experience includes a position as Entwicklungsingenieur at IAV Motor GmbH, contributing to algorithm development for fuzzy logic-based distance regulation and object recognition using laser sensors. Rene Zschoppe earned a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Transport Process Automation Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden and trained as an Elektromonteur at Deutsche Reichsbahn.
