Carlos del Barrio

Carlos del Barrio is an experienced professional in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and structured finance, currently serving as a Senior Transaction Manager at ib vogt GmbH since January 2024. Previously, Carlos held the position of M&A Manager at X-ELIO, where nine corporate sell-side deals were successfully signed and closed. Prior experience includes a role as an M&A and Structured Finance Associate at Trina Solar, focusing on M&A strategy execution in the renewable energy sector across Europe, LATAM, and MENA. Carlos also contributed to various consulting roles, offering strategic and technical advice in renewable energy at G-advisory and Grupo Naggar, as well as project supervision at Abengoa Bioenergy. Educational qualifications include an MBA from IE Business School and an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad Iberoamericana, along with international exposure through a student exchange program at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
