Joost van Acht

Joost van Acht is an experienced professional in renewable energy investment and development, currently serving as Managing Director at ib vogt GmbH since May 2021, overseeing projects in Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Wind Energy across the APAC region. Previously, Joost held the position of Investment Director at BERKELEY ENERGY, focusing on deal origination and development of diverse renewable energy projects throughout Asia-Pacific. Additional expertise includes serving as a Senior Advisor at Macquarie Group and a Consultant at UPC Renewables Indonesia, where Joost led solar project development efforts. As co-founder and Managing Director at Blue World Carbon, Joost established a significant carbon asset management platform in Southeast Asia. Joost's early career includes extensive consultancy work in renewable energy and economic policy, supported by an advanced education in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and research experience in Japan.
