Christos Gouloudis has extensive experience in the field of protein production and purification. Christos served as the Director of Protein Production at IBA Lifesciences, where they led the development of E. coli fed-batch fermentation processes to increase protein yield. Christos also developed methods for protein purification using various chromatography techniques. Additionally, they worked as a Group Leader I Protein Chemist at IBA Biologics, where they led downstream process development and purification of therapeutic proteins, utilizing precipitation techniques and chromatography methods. Christos also utilized biophysical methods to determine the functionality of the proteins. Prior to these roles, they worked as a Scientist I Molecular Genetics at Bayer, where they performed tasks such as gene cloning, DNA manipulation, and protein expression. Christos also created gene libraries through DNA shuffling and isolated mRNA. Christos briefly worked at Juno Therapeutics, Inc. in a role focused on clinical reagent production.
Christos Gouloudis has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Protein Chemistry from The University of Göttingen. Christos also holds a Master's degree in Molecular Genetics from Bayer AG, Leverkusen, which they obtained in collaboration with The University of Göttingen. Additionally, Christos Gouloudis had an internship at Bayer AG, Leverkusen. No specific start or end years are provided for any of these educational experiences.
