Executive Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer at IBC Bank

Judith Wawroski serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Corporate Financial Accounting at IBC Bank and the Treasurer and Chief Accounting Officer for International Bancshares Corporation, providing accounting support to all banks and non-bank subsidaries of the Corporation.

She joined IBC Bank in 1992 on a part-time basis while attending The University of Texas at Austin where she obtained a bachelors degree in accounting. After graduating she came onboard as a full-time staff accountant in 1996 at IBC Bank-Laredo and worked her way up through the ranks. She later earned a Masters of Professional Accountancy from Texas A&M International University.

Wawroski brings over 25 years of banking experience to her roles where she oversees all functions completed by the financial accounting department, including the management of all financial regulatory filings for the bank and holding company. She also functions as the primary coordinator and manager of the financial internal and external audits of the bank and holding company.

Her high degree of knowledge of banking policies, procedures and processes allows her to effectively manage any necessary changes to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Priniciples (GAAP), as well as regulations promulgated by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Internal Revenue Service, Texas Department of Banking and Oklahoma Department of Banking.

Wawroski demonstrates great leadership inside the bank as well as in the community, where she serves as the president of the board of Casa de Misericordia in Laredo and treasurer of the Laredo Little Theatre. Casa de Misericordia (CASA) offers battered women the chance to reclaim their lives through comprehensive, holistic services and consistent long-term support, providing secure, temporary residential services to victims of domestic violence. As president of the board, Wawroski ensures that CASA provides the best service possible to its clients while remaining compliant with all federal and state laws and in compliance with the use of funds the organization obtains through grants or funding. She has also held leadership positions in various other organizations, including Leadership Laredo, the Laredo Center for the Arts, the Laredo Women's Commission, and the March of Dimes.

In her personal time, Wawroski enjoys spending time with her husband, John Addison, and their daughter, Jacqueline Frances.
