Sergio Hernández de Deza

Sergio Hernández de Deza serves as the VP Global Corporate Customers PPA and Decarbonization at Iberdrola since June 2022, following a distinguished tenure at Iberdrola Renovables from November 2004 to June 2022, where roles included CEO & Director of International Business Development and Head of International Business Development. In these capacities, Sergio shaped business development strategies across Europe, APAC, and Africa, overseeing operations that contributed to significant growth in wind, photovoltaic, and battery projects, with accountability for P&L and increasing installed capacity. Prior experience includes positions at Iberdrola Engineering and Construction and Accenture España. Academic qualifications feature advanced studies in Structured Finance and Private Equity from IE Business School, an Executive MBA from IE Business School, a diploma in International Business from Berkeley University, and a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
