Patrícia Gomes - Alves

Patricia Gomes-Alves is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in biochemistry and biotechnology. Currently serving as Lab Head at the Sanofi Satellite Lab and Scientific Coordinator of the Mass Spectrometry Unit at iBET, Patricia represents the Unit on the Management team of the Portuguese MS-Network. Previously, Patricia held the role of Director of Development at Theraproteins, where responsibilities included the development of biotechnological products in collaboration with GlycoThera. As a research fellow at the Instituto Nacional de Saúde Dr. Ricardo Jorge, Patricia established a patient-derived samples biobank for proteomics studies on sickle cell disease. Patricia holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, along with a licenciatura in Biochemistry from the University of Lisbon and a post-graduation in General Management from Nova School of Business and Economics.
