Gabriel Calfat

Gabriel Calfat has extensive work experience in consulting and project management, primarily in the areas of framework contracts and business development. Gabriel started their career as an International Trade Analyst at the Spanish Official Chamber of Commerce in Costa Rica, where they provided consulting services to Spanish companies and contributed to the development of new markets in Central America.

Gabriel then worked as a Junior Project Manager at Ingeniería y Gestión del Sur, where they were responsible for tender opportunities, project proposals, and project delivery. Gabriel also gained experience as a Consultant at Pangea Consultores.

Calfat joined AECOM as a Senior Project Manager in 2009, where they managed various European Commission and international donors framework contracts. Gabriel continued to advance in the company, becoming a Project Manager and later a Senior Project Manager for the Trade Related Technical Assistance Programme (TRTA3).

In 2015, they briefly worked as a Senior Project Manager at AECOM, focusing on trade-related technical assistance. Gabriel then joined ACE International Consultants, an AECOM company, as a Senior Project Manager, where they managed European Commission and international donors framework contracts.

In 2016, Calfat transitioned to AECOM and took on the role of Head of Framework Contract Unit - Business Development Division. In this position, they were responsible for managing framework contracts in various areas across different development countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, ENPI, and IPA regions. Gabriel also played a key role in quality assurance, project management, and coordination. Additionally, they served as the Framework Contract Manager for Electoral Observation Missions, where they managed contracts and supported the organization of transparent election processes in partner countries.

In 2019, Calfat joined DT Global as the Head of Framework Contracts Unit - Business Development Division, where they continued their responsibilities in managing framework contracts and business development activities.

Most recently, in 2021, Calfat joined IBF International Consulting as the Co-Director of the Framework Contracts Unit.

Gabriel Calfat completed their Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Malaga between the years 2000 and 2005. Subsequently, between 2005 and 2006, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce from ESIC Business & Marketing School.
