Rachel Nyakotey has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Rachel started their career as a National Service Person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana in 2014. In 2016, they were an Intern at Fugar & Co. and also founded TWIGbyTWIG Tutoring Services. In 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant (LLM) at the American University Washington College of Law. In 2018, they were a Deans Fellow at NIWAP and also worked as an Associate Intern (Compliance, Program Management and Recruitment) and an International Business Development Intern at IBI, Global Insights - Local Solutions. In 2021, they began working as a Legal Intern at AB & David and currently works as a Business Development Consultant at IBI, Global Insights - Local Solutions.
Rachel Nyakotey has a diverse educational background. Rachel first attended The Diocesan School for Girls (DSG), Grahamstown, where they earned their Matriculation Certificate with Endorsement (Distinctions in English and History) in 2009. Rachel then went on to the University of Ghana, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French in 2014. Following that, they earned their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in 2017. Finally, in 2018, Rachel earned their Master of Laws - LLM from the American University Washington College of Law, specializing in International Legal Studies with a focus on Trade and Investment Law and Commercial Arbitration.
