Renee Tillery

Vice President, Operations at IBI, Global Insights - Local Solutions

Renee Tillery has a long and varied career in operations and process excellence. Renee began their professional journey in 2000 as Communications Coordinator at U.S. Grains Council, where they drafted newsletters and press releases, and oversaw printing and design of all publications and meeting materials. Renee also helped develop and launch a new website and a new extranet for Council members. In 2002, they joined Chemonics International as Director of the East Africa Region, leading a DC-based project management team and supervising overseas teams conducting work under contracts with USAID. Her accomplishments included leading the start up of a $22M, three-year project aimed at strengthening the Somali government and overseeing the Kenya Transition Initiative, a $35M USAID/OTI project supporting peaceful elections. Renee then served as Operations Director, working closely with the region’s Senior VP to navigate finance, contractual, staffing allocation/HR issues for 90-100 personnel. In 2017, Renee moved to Palladium: Make It Possible as Director of Operations and Process Excellence, where they managed initiatives and change and advised client-facing teams on complex compliance issues. Currently, they are Vice President of Operations at IBI - International Business Initiatives.

Renee Tillery completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Relations from Michigan State University between 1994 and 1998. Renee then earned their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Georgetown University between 2001 and 2003.
