Teja Arboleda

Chief of Global Creative Services at IBIS Consulting Group

Teja is the Senior Producer/Director at IBIS. He oversees all aspects of content development and production for interactive theater, digital media and eLearning. He also manages IBIS’ global training and consulting initiative.

Arboleda is an EMMY Award and five-time Telly Award winner. His roles in television include Assistant Director/Editor at PBS’s Frontline, and his independent PBS documentaries such as Crossing The Line: Multiracial Comedians, and Model Minority: Do The Math, have stirred national discussions on identity, race and culture in the news including The NY Times, LA Times, USA Today and National Public Radio. His Discovery Education series Diversity Elementary has been a big success in over 20 countries.

As a keynote speaker and a nationally acclaimed solo performer, Arboleda focuses on race, culture and identity. He has presented over 1,600 times in 48 states.

Arboleda has a Masters in Education and Digital Media, and as a professor, has taught courses such as Race and Ethnic Relations, Communications and Filmmaking. He is the author and illustrator of books on multiracial and multicultural identity, including In The Shadow of Race, Mixed Feelings and Jeni So Many.

Arboleda has testified in front of The U.S. Senate and the OMB to include mixed-race and multiracial identity in The U.S. Census. He is Black, Asian and White and grew up in Japan, and has traveled globally.
