Beat Buesser

Beat Buesser is a Research Staff Member at IBM Research, Zurich Research Laboratory, focusing on AI security and privacy. Their work emphasizes responsible machine learning and trusted artificial intelligence, and they are the maintainer and core developer of the Adversarial Robustness Toolbox (ART) for adversarial machine learning. Previously, they held positions as a Research Assistant at ETH Zurich and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Beat has experience working on automated machine learning, predictive analytics, and augmented reality. Currently, they are advancing their knowledge in differential privacy, cryptography, fairness, and explainability.
