Brian Runnells

Brian Runnells currently serves as the Director of Engineering for Frontend Experiences at IBM, where leadership involves overseeing the Helios design system and enhancing developer experiences. Prior to this role, Brian was a Director of Engineering for Design Systems at HashiCorp, spearheading the establishment of the Helios Design System organization. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Salesforce, managing a team responsible for Heroku’s Dashboard and CLI, and leading front-end development at Heroku. Brian began a career in software development as a Web Developer at Markit on Demand and has held various roles in earlier positions. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
