David Kalmuk is a Distinguished Engineer and Chief Architect for Databases at IBM, where they currently lead the technical strategy for the Db2 family of products, including Db2, Db2 Warehouse, and Db2 Warehouse on Cloud SaaS. With over 20 years of experience in developing high-performance distributed database technologies, David has played a pivotal role in numerous innovations such as the Db2 BLU MPP technology and Adaptive Workload Management. Prior to their current role, they served as a Software Engineer at i4i and the University of Toronto, among other positions at IBM. David holds an Honours BSc from the University of Toronto, which they are currently pursuing.
