Jorge Vergara

Jorge Vergara served as Chief Technology Officer at IBM from July 2006 to July 2016, where responsibilities included growing the technical community, managing solution architects, and establishing IBM's leadership in cognitive solutions and hybrid cloud technologies. Prior to this role, Jorge Vergara was an IT Architect, leading the pre-sales team in the Infrastructure division and advising major clients in Colombia. Additionally, Jorge Vergara worked as a POWER Field Technical Sales Specialist, recognized as an expert in IBM Power Servers for the Spanish South America region. Jorge Vergara holds an Engineer's Degree in Systems Engineering from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito, earned between January 1990 and January 1993.
