Jon Meadows

SVP, Technology at Silverchair

Jon Meadows is the VP of Software Engineering at Silverchair. Jon has over seven years of experience in software testing and management. Jon began their career as a Senior Software Test Engineer Manager at S&P Global Market Intelligence, where they were responsible for testers across five scrum teams. Jon directly managed three managers and four individual contributors, which represented the majority of the US SQA testing workforce. Jon was awarded 2013 North America Manager of the year (nominated by direct reports, chosen by leadership).

Jon then moved on to Silverchair, where they have continued to excel in their role. Jon has developed training materials for new software testers and oriented them to the department. Jon has also built custom automation tool (using C#) to refresh Excel workbooks/templates in two separate platforms (legacy and new/replacement) and provided difference reports to flag inconsistencies. Additionally, they have led and directly participated in the testing of several large projects, such as updating major client-facing platforms to honor date/number formats for different cultures, translating Excel add-in into Chinese and Japanese, completely rebuilding existing Excel add-in platform in a newer technology, upgrading Cisco ACE load balancers to F5 BIG-IP, and conversion to a service oriented architecture (SOA) model.

Jon Meadows completed a Bachelor’s Degree at James Madison University in Computer information systems (CIS) and Finance.

Their manager is Stuart Leitch, COO and CTO. They are on a team with Billy Chorey - Front End Developer, Blaine A. Anderson - Front End Developer, and Derek Naughton - VP, Architecture. Some individuals on their team include Benjamin Call - Senior Software Engineer, Jeremy Little - Software Engineer, and Jon Gómez - Software Engineer.
