Travis Scholten

Travis Scholten is a PhD Quantum Computing Physicist turned Business Development Executive, currently serving as the Technical Lead for the Public Sector at IBM Quantum. In this role, they focus on large, strategic activities with government entities to drive technical, economic, and social impact through quantum technologies. Travis has extensive experience in quantum research and software, having worked with diverse, cross-functional teams, and has contributed to initiatives such as the Foundation for American Innovation as a Policy Hacker Fellow. They hold a PhD in Physics from the University of New Mexico and a BS in Physics from the California Institute of Technology. Additionally, Travis is the creator of "The Quantum Stack," a Substack dedicated to quantum computing, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Unitary Fund.
