Vaibhaw Kumar

Vaibhaw Kumar is a Manager of Quantum Computational Science at IBM, where they lead industry-relevant applied quantum computing research and foster collaborations with various industry and research organizations. Prior to this role, they served as a Lead Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2016 to 2020, specializing in quantum computing algorithms and machine learning models. Vaibhaw also completed a postdoctoral research associate position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2013 to 2016 and taught courses at the University at Buffalo in 2012. They hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology.
