Janne Haugen

Janne Haugen has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and organizations. Janne currently works as a Researcher in support of NOAA Fisheries NEFSC at IBSS since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Fisheries Ecologist (postdoc) at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration from September 2020 to May 2021. Janne also served as a Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from September 2015 to August 2020. In 2015, they briefly worked as a Visiting Researcher at NOAA. Additionally, they have experience in the Norwegian Armed Forces as a Gunner at Infantry Fighting Vehicle CV9030N from January 2009 to 2010.

Janne Haugen's education history is as follows:

In 2015, Janne Haugen began studying at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Marine Science and Technology in 2020.

Prior to this, in 2014, Janne Haugen pursued a Master's Degree in Applied Marine and Fisheries Ecology at the University of Aberdeen, which they completed in 2015.

In 2013, Janne Haugen attended Prescott College for a short duration to study Marine Biology, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree from this institution.

Starting in 2010, Janne Haugen pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Pollution and Environmental Science at the University of South-Eastern Norway, which they completed in 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Janne Haugen has obtained several certifications. These include Project Management Foundations and Leadership Mindsets from LinkedIn, obtained in July 2020 and June 2020, respectively. Additionally, they obtained a Boating Licence for Boats Less Than 15m from Sjøfartsdirektoratet in August 2009 and a Short Range Radio Operator's Certificate SRC/VHF from Telenor Maritim Radio in July 2009.

Janne Haugen has also obtained non-academic certifications, such as First Aid from the Norwegian Army in January 2009 and a Drivers Licence Class B from Statens vegvesen in June 2007.
