Shirin Safire has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Shirin worked as a Program Manager at IBSSCorp, where they provided leadership and strategic direction for multiple contracts with a focus on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Prior to that, they were a Special Education Assistant at Fairfax County Public Schools for six years.

Shirin Safire obtained their associate's degree in Engineering from Montgomery College between 1986 and 1988. Following this, they pursued their bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at West Virginia University, completing it between 1988 and 1991.
