Peter Rohne

Peter Rohne has over 20 years of work experience, with a diverse range of roles and responsibilities. Peter has held positions in various industries including consulting, insurance, and government.

Starting in 1997, Peter worked at IBM Canada as an IT Specialist, where they were involved in multiple projects, including package implementation, technical lead, and developer roles.

In 2005, Peter became an IT Architect and Developer at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where they worked on custom enterprise Java application development projects. Peter 'sresponsibilities included designing interfaces, application design, writing specifications, Java coding, and problem resolution.

Peter then took on the role of Project Manager at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in 2009, where they managed a development project and subsequent application management projects for the Business Risk Management Delivery Suite. This suite is a flexible framework used for farm income programs that deliver billions of dollars to Canadian producers each year.

In 2012, Peter served as a Delivery Project Executive and Project Manager at IBM Canada for the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Advanced Payment Program. Peter led a team responsible for planning, budgeting, requirements, development, testing, and implementation of enhancements and ongoing application maintenance.

At Wawanesa Insurance in 2015, Peter worked as a Project Manager for two major enhancement application development projects. Peter was responsible for planning, budgeting, requirements, development work, testing, and implementation of enhancements to IT systems.

In 2017, Peter joined the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as a Project Manager, where they managed projects and served in this role until 2019.

From 2019 to 2023, Peter held the position of Vice President Operations at Avant Systems Group, where they led operations.

Finally, starting in 2023, Peter joined Praecipio as the VP Operations for Canada.

Peter Rohne attended the University of Manitoba from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications including Atlassian Certified in Managing Jira Cloud Projects (ACP-MJCP) from Atlassian in April 2021, Certified SAFe® 5 Program Consultant from Scaled Agile, Inc. in December 2020, Becoming a Triple-Threat Project Manager from LinkedIn in December 2016, Change Management from LinkedIn in December 2016, DevOps Fundamentals from LinkedIn in December 2016, Modeling Courageous Leadership: Intelligent Disobedience from LinkedIn in December 2016, Requirements Elicitation: Interviews from LinkedIn in December 2016, Certified PRINCE2 Practitioner from APMG-International in April 2015, and Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in January 2015. Peter is also an Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator for Cloud, although the details of this certification are not provided.
