Laura Verkaik

Laura Verkaik is currently a school counselor at iCademy Global. Laura has previous experience working as a professional school counselor at Lighthouse Academy Charter School and as a high school science teacher at Holland High School. Laura has been passionate about helping others since they were a child and this has led their to a career in counseling. Laura loves being able to help students reach their full potential and enjoy watching them grow into successful adults.

Laura Verkaik has a Master's Degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Grand Valley State University. Laura also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Secondary Education and Teaching from Calvin University. In addition, Laura is certified by the Michigan Department of Education as a School Counselor K-12 (NT) and by the State of Michigan as a Professional Teaching Certificate, Secondary Biology (DA) and Science (DX).
