Mehrdad Gholami has a diverse range of work experience in the field of engineering. Mehrdad worked as a Staff MMIC Design engineer at iCana starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Research Associate at the University of Waterloo from 2018 to 2022. Mehrdad also held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Calgary from 2017 to 2018. Before their postdoctoral work, Mehrdad was a Ph.D. student at the University of Ottawa from 2012 to 2017, where they focused on designing and simulating various microwave components and antennas. In addition, they worked as a Senior RF/Microwave designer at Moj Khavar CO. from 2007 to 2012, where they implemented and measured a variety of microwave devices. To share their knowledge, Mehrdad also worked as a Lecturer at multiple Iranian universities from 2005 to 2012, teaching various engineering courses and creating online educational resources.
Mehrdad Gholami has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Microwave and Millimeter wave, which they obtained from the University of Ottawa between 2012 and 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering Majoring in Field and Wave from Urmia University, where they studied from 2002 to 2005. Mehrdad'seducation journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Majoring in Telecommunication from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, where they studied from 1996 to 2001.
