Brett Scholnick, CPA, MBA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Brett is currently serving as the Managing Director, Chief Accounting Officer, and Head of Corporate Finance at iCapital. Prior to this, they held roles as the SVP, Chief Accounting Officer, and Head of Corporate Finance as well as SVP, Chief Accounting Officer at the same company.

Before joining iCapital, Brett worked as the Vice President, Controller at Cantor Fitzgerald, where they oversaw accounting and finance for multiple public REITs, investment partnerships, private funds, DSTs, and Opportunity Zone Funds. Brett ensured accuracy and compliance of financial reporting and was responsible for coordinating audits.

Brett also served as the Controller at Greystone, where they led the finance and accounting function for the Real Estate Development division. Brett oversaw operational accounting, management accounting, consolidations, and cash management processes.

Prior to Greystone, they worked as the Corporate Controller at Warren Resources Inc, where they were responsible for financial close, SEC reporting, and maintaining GL accuracy.

Brett started their career as a Supervising Senior Accountant at Spielman Koenigsberg & Parker, LLP, where they managed various types of engagements including audits, reviews, compilations, tax issues, and mergers and acquisitions.

Brett also worked as an Experienced Associate at PwC, where they planned and performed audits for multinational banking institutions and broker dealer clients subject to SEC oversight.

Brett began their professional journey as a Senior Accountant at Berkshire Communities, where they oversaw accounting and financial reporting for multifamily real estate properties.

Overall, Brett Scholnick has extensive experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, compliance, and management accounting.

Brett Scholnick, CPA, MBA has a diverse education history. Brett first attended the Questrom School of Business at Boston University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Following this, they pursued further education at Fordham University from 2010 to 2013, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Brett Scholnick has also obtained two professional certifications. In March 2013, they became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) through the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants). Brett also holds the Series 99 certification, obtained in November 2017 from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
