John Toomey

John Toomey, CAIA, is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as Senior Vice President at iCapital since April 2024. Prior to this role, Toomey held various positions at BlackRock from August 2014 to April 2024, including Market Leader, Investment Management Associate, and Analyst. Earlier experience includes serving as a Green Beret in the 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne) in the Army National Guard from December 2019 to December 2020, as well as a Summer Analyst at BlackRock in 2013 and Evercore Partners in 2012. Toomey's military background also includes service as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant (Green Beret) in the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) from August 2002 to July 2010. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Columbia University, graduated in 2014, and advanced training at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School from 2005 to 2007.
