Appavoo Dhandapani has extensive experience in agricultural statistics and information systems. Currently serving as Head of Information and Communication Management and Professor at ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) since June 2009, Dhandapani teaches courses in Business Statistics for Managers, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics using SAS, Enterprise Resource Planning for Agriculture, and Marketing Research, while also developing an Information System for the All-India Coordinated Research Project for crop improvement. Prior to this role, Dhandapani worked as a Senior Scientist at NCIPM from December 1996 to June 2009, focusing on the development of Information Systems for Pest Surveillance and Pest Management, as well as statistical consultancy. Dhandapani holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Statistics from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, alongside an M.Sc. in the same field, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Statistics from Loyola College, Chennai.
