Piotr Klimczak

Piotr Klimczak has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Piotr began their career as a Developer at Bank Pocztowy SA in 2007 and later took on the role of Senior Developer. In 2011, they joined Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego as an Expert at the IT Department and eventually became the Head of the Systems Integration Department. During their time at the bank, they were involved in various projects, including the implementation of the EMIR project and integration of critical government programs.

In 2014, Klimczak transitioned to Red Hat, where they worked as a Consultant. Piotr was responsible for advocating the use of JBoss Fuse and delivering standardized builds and documentation for the Private Cloud project. Piotr also provided expertise in Tibco migration and reviewed the usage of JBoss Fuse in a telecommunications and government project.

Since 2015, Klimczak has been working at ICE InsureTech. Piotr initially served as an Integration Architect, responsible for designing integration architectures using various technologies. Piotr also played a key role in introducing cloud migration and creating internal standards for projects. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Technology Innovation, contributing to the strategic development of the company.

Furthermore, Klimczak has been an official contributor to The Apache Software Foundation since 2011, mainly working on the Apache Camel project and developing distributed cache functionality.

Piotr Klimczak has a Master's degree in IT, specializing in software engineering, which they obtained from the University of Computer Sciences and Skills. Piotr attended this institution from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned an Engineer's degree in IT from The University of Humanities and Economics, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their academic qualifications, Piotr also holds certifications including the Prince2 Foundation and Prince2 Practitioner, which they obtained in May and June of 2011, respectively.
