Gary Blachman

Gary Blachman is a Partner in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice at Ice Miller LLP, where since December 2018, Gary has advised businesses on fiduciary compliance, risk management, and the design and administration of various compensation plans. Prior to this, Gary held the same title at Thompson Hine LLP from 2001 to 2018, focusing on corporate benefits issues and fiduciary governance. Gary began professional career as an Employee Benefits Consultant and In-House Counsel at Findley Davies, Inc., and served as a Pension Investigator for the U.S. Department of Labor, overseeing investigations into pension plan compliance. Gary's early experience also includes serving as a Prosecutor for the City of Chicago. Educational qualifications include a JD from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, an MBA in International Business and Marketing from Baruch College, and a BS in Political Science and English from Rutgers University.
