Massimo Merlo

Massimo Merlo has over 10 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Massimo is currently the Chief Operating Officer at ICE Pharma, where they are responsible for the operational activities of the group. Previously, they worked at Prodotti chimici e alimentari (PCA) as the Site Engineering Manager, overseeing engineering activities at the company's flagship APIs manufacturing facility. Massimo also worked as a Project Manager and Plant Engineer at PCA, developing procedures and projects to improve asset reliability and reduce maintenance costs. Additionally, they served as a Plant Process Engineer at PCA. Massimo also worked at Raichem Medicare as a Project Coordinator for the construction of a new GMP APIs facility and at Sutter as an R&D Project Manager.

Massimo Merlo earned a Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Chimica from the University of Genoa from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Laurea in Ingegneria Chimica from the same university from 2005 to 2008. Massimo completed their high school education at Liceo Scientifico Amaldi, receiving a Diploma di maturità scientifica from 2000 to 2005. In addition to their academic achievements, Massimo has obtained various certifications in topics such as fire protection and design of industrial systems. These certifications were obtained from institutions such as the Ministero dell'Interno - Corpo Nazionale dei Vigili del Fuoco, FireEx Consultant GmbH, and INAIL, Istituto Nazionale Assicurazione contro gli Infortuni sul Lavoro.
