Kacper Gunia has extensive experience in the field of engineering and product development. 🇺🇦 Kacper currently holds the position of Engineering Manager and Deputy VP of Engineering at ICE, where they have been working since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Product Engineering at the same company from 2021 to 2023. Kacper also worked as a Domain-Driven Design Consultant at ICE from 2020 to 2021.

Before joining ICE, Kacper was an Independent Consultant and Trainer at DOMAIN CENTRIC LTD starting from 2015. In 2016, they founded Domain-Driven Design London. 🇺🇦 Kacper also worked as a Technical Trainer at Event Store from 2020 to 2022.

Kacper gained further experience as a Scala & Domain-Driven Design Consultant at Starbucks from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Time Inc. UK from 2015 to 2016, where they contributed to the improvement of performance and usability of the Wallpaper.com website. 🇺🇦 Kacper also worked as a Technical Team Leader and Trainer at Sensio Labs UK from 2012 to 2015, and as a Team Leader and Software Developer at Jazzy Innovations s.c. from 2010 to 2012.

At the beginning of their career, Kacper worked as a Software Developer at XSolve sp. z o.o. from 2009 to 2010, where they developed web applications using PHP and MySQL.

Kacper Gunia has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the Silesian University of Technology, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. In 2012, they pursued a postgraduate degree in Project Management at the Poznan School of Banking. From 2013 to 2014, they furthered their education at the same institution with a postgraduate degree in Coaching.

In addition to their formal education, Kacper Gunia has obtained several certifications. In June 2013, they became a SensioLabs Certified Symfony Developer. In January 2013, they achieved the Zend Certified Engineer PHP 5.3 certification. Later, in September 2014, they obtained the Inviqa Certified Developer designation. 🇺🇦 Kacper also completed various courses, including Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 1 and Mining Massive Datasets on Coursera.
