Sven Woltmann

Sven Woltmann is a seasoned Java Scalability and Performance Specialist with extensive experience in leading and developing software solutions across multiple companies. Currently, at ICE, Sven focuses on migrating large-scale databases from DynamoDB to PostgreSQL. As the founder and author of HappyCoders.eu, Sven actively publishes articles and video tutorials on Java programming. Previous roles include freelance Java development at NextPit GmbH, and notable positions at IONOS, where performance improvements under load were achieved by a factor of 50, and Fonpit AG as CTO, responsible for a large team and the world’s largest multilingual Android community. Sven’s entrepreneurial journey began with W+R Software GmbH and continued through various leadership positions in tech, emphasizing strong hands-on expertise in Java and scalable web applications. Sven holds a Diplom-Informatiker degree in Computer Science from Technische Universität Ilmenau.
