Emre Tan Altınok has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Emre Tan began their career at IBM as a Big Data Consultant in 2004 and later moved to PwC, where they worked in Risk Management in 2005. In 2008, Emre joined iMerge BV as the Country Manager DACH and held this position until 2010. Emre Tan then transitioned to Icecat, initially starting as an International Business Development Manager in 2010 and eventually rising to the role of Head of International Business from 2013 to 2015. Emre also served as the Interim Chief Commercial Officer at Icecat from 2017 to 2019, and as the Group Managing Director from 2016 onwards. Additionally, Emre has been actively involved as an Investor at E-nvest since 2017.

Emre Tan Altınok's education history begins in 1994 when they attended Istanbul Erkek Lisesi. During this time, they studied literature and mathematics but did not pursue a specific degree. From 2004 to 2007, Emre studied at Marmara University where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics. In 2006 to 2007, they attended Technische Universität Wien and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Methods in Economics. Following this, in 2007 to 2008, Emre pursued a Master of Science degree in International Financial Economics from the University of Amsterdam. Lastly, in 2020, they enrolled at Cambridge Judge Business School to study Digital Disruption in Business Administration and Management.
