Karl Thomson

Karl Thomson is an experienced professional in the field of pre-sales and technical consulting, currently serving as the APAC Pre Sales Director at Arcserve since December 2013, following the merger with StorageCraft in March 2021. In previous roles, Karl provided technical support and product advice across the Asia Pacific region for StorageCraft, initially based in Sydney and later relocating to Auckland. With a strong technical background, Karl has also been involved in venture capital and private equity through Thomson Family Investments since 2018, working with New Zealand's largest group of angel investors, ICE Angels. Earlier career experiences include senior engineering and network technician roles at Future IT (NZ) Ltd and New Era IT, respectively. Karl holds a Diploma in Business Computing from Auckland University of Technology and a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator credential from AMES I.T. Academy.
