Joakim Joensuu

Joakim Joensuu is a Flight Software Engineer at ICEYE since March 2021, responsible for creating embedded software on Linux and establishing development infrastructure. Additionally, Joakim has experience as a Data Engineer, building scalable services and pipelines for geospatial data. Previous roles include L1 Software Engineer at Nokia, where fast logging and event-machine monitoring components were developed, and Lead Teaching Assistant at the University of Helsinki, overseeing other assistants. Other professional experiences span sales roles in retail and energy sectors, a team lead position in customer acquisition, and completion of military service in the Finnish Defence Navy. Joakim Joensuu holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki and a Master of Science in Communications Engineering from Aalto University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki.
