Mohamed Abdelsalam

Mohamed Abdelsalam, PhD, P.Eng., C.E.M, is a Senior Energy Markets Consultant at ICF since April 2022, focusing on energy efficiency, demand response, and electrification technologies for utilities. Concurrently, Mohamed serves as an Adjunct Professor at McMaster University, teaching courses on decarbonization strategies and energy technologies. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Research Associate at McMaster University, focusing on community energy systems and energy storage modeling, and Safety Analyst at Terrestrial Energy, working on thermal hydraulic modeling for reactor safety. Mohamed holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University and has significant experience in HVAC design, energy management, and computational fluid dynamics.
